About us<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The infoRB<\/strong> project aims to identify economic entities and classify them as essential and important entities within a critically important sector, to assess and ensure cybersecurity<\/strong>\u2014including the supply chain\u2014specifically for the \u201cproduction, processing and distribution of food\u201d sector (hereinafter referred to as the \u201cfood sector\u201d), a new sector established by Directive (EU)\u202f2022\/2555<\/strong> of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14\u202fDecember\u202f2022 on measures for a high common level of cybersecurity across the Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cProduction, processing and distribution of food\u201d sector is one of the seven economic sectors considered \u201cOTHER CRITICAL SECTORS\u201d<\/strong> under the NIS2 Directive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entities in the food sector, as well as their supply chains, need guidance on implementing cybersecurity awareness and training programs. In particular, it is necessary to define the required training for the various roles and responsibilities within the food sector, as well as to foster cross\u2011border cooperation between the Romanian and Bulgarian national authorities that have specific functions and duties in this field.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Funding<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • infoRB Project<\/strong> is funded through a European grant with a maximum value of over EUR 570,000, with a total estimated budget of over EUR 1.1 million. The funding covers activities such as project management, identification of critical entities in the food sector, development of a cross-border cooperation platform, and awareness and training programs in the field of cybersecurity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      • Training sessions for staff responsible for cybersecurity management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Awareness campaigns conducted at the national level for the food sector and the public.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
